Camden Blues game plan Based on round 8, 2/5/19 Kept 2 players operating within center square, these players did not attempt to impact clearances or mark opponents in forward or defensive 50 - purely used to transition from back to forward. One player was an on-baller, second was possibly a wing or forward.
One of these players was likely the top possession getter on the ground - though 90% uncontested. Their transition from backline to forwards was very fast for this reason. Penrith players tended to get sucked in to contests within 50m arcs, while these two players stayed a kick away. Marking these players at all times will create 50/50 contests as opposed to uncontested, and limit Camdenâs ability to transition.
