
1)This drill is to encourage defensive payers to kick the ball to the wings, play the ball wide, midfielders and wings to bring the ball back into the corridor and are given the option to play to FF or to take shot on goal. 2)Drill is then expanded on by having players play as opponents, defenders will now have an attacker placed with them on the right and the forward to the left will have a defender to beat. 3) Drill is further expanded by replicating the current set up from the opposite end also. If the FF was to score on the left, his 1V1 opponent (FB) will now kick in the ball, his 2 wingman, who have been marking the two wings (red cones on the centre square), the halfbacks/ wings currently on the 50`s OPPONENTS will push back onto the centre square creating options for the return attack through the centre of the field. This in turn creates a real game scenario, with limited players on the field and `rest` for those players not engaged in the 1v1 duel.
