
Spread and Cover 2 teams 4 (attacking) v 3 (defending)
Attacking team starts with ball working the ball with handball around the square. Defending side to place pressure on ball carrier. Must be on your toes moving from player to player as the ball moves. Defending side to work on hand over of players, shifting and adjusting to the moving ball. Do not zone off or guard space. On the whistle Attaching sides to exit the congestion and move the ball forward. Defending side one ball is disposed of spread to crate space for rebound. Attacking side to cover the spread. Use bumper bars pushing and stopping players from exiting. Variation of Drill. Start Drill further back and on whistle players have to exit through the gates and work the ball up into the forward 50. Defensive team is to apply pressure ensuring the we number off and cover the most dangerous play makers. On the whistle Players act as a free kick has been awarded to attacking side. Player with ball quickly gets back off the mark.
