General points 24 blokes needed, 12 backs and 12 forwards, allowing for drill to be run whilst the other group resets. Players are assigned a role of Flank, Pocket, or Key and will retain that for the drill. After the drill players should clear the field by running to the nearest boundary and reseting their position. Backs are playing man on man. Forward entry with a thin side and fat side option - kicker elects. Hat zones are kept clear, providing the lead target area for the FF and CHF. FF and CHF are aiming to take a mark on the lead. Play should end with either a set shot from the key forward, or a shot on goal from play, or a turnover. Flanks Kicker is the left forward flank, has received a loose ball on the high flank. Take a running bounce (to a cone), and hit either of the hat zones with a kick. Right flanker runs to the green cone with an option to run interference on the CHB. From the cone primary objective is to rove the front of the contested marks. Switch sides with other flank each drill. Key Forwards Key Forwards should wait until kicker has taken a bounce before making their lead. FF leads to the fat side. CHF leads to the skinny side. If a mark is taken, go back and take the set shot. If mark is spilled aim to get the ball out by any means to the roving forwards. Switch FF and CHF each drill. Pockets Pockets are running blocking patterns for the FF CHF, and placing them in roving positions for the spilled contest. They should not enter the hat zones, and delay their run until the kicker has taken their bounce. Left pocket is on course to interfere the run of the CHB, and then continue on to sweep the front and centre crumb. Right pocket is on course to interfere the run of the FB, and then continue on to sweep the back. Switch sides with other pocket each drill.
