what is a good drill to teach stepping around a player?
Hi Kirsten,
When looking to step around a defender to get free the first few steps are key. They should be quick and explosive to distance yourself from the marker and prevent them from having time to react.
Here's a good drill to help. It promotes being sharp off the mark to accelerate away from the marker which will ultimately help your players when they're trying to get around them.
Hope this helps.
