Players will be shown the distance that they will need to run.
They will learn about the speed and pace they should use when running long distance.
Each player will then be split into groups and they will run the track at long distances (1500)
This can the be turned into a race once the practice session is over.
Explain to the players that they need to keep a steady start at the start of the race and that if they do not do this then they may tire and find it more difficult to build up speed as the race goes on.
They need to maintain a good speed and keep this up until the final moments of the race at which point they can the speed up and use their remaining energy to help them complete the race.
