Shaped Jumps

DESCRIPTION

Tuck Jump:

  • Make sure legs are together, toes are pointed

Straddle Jump:

  • Make sure legs are apart, toes pointed, hands touching 'toes (or legs)

Pike Jump:

  • Make sure legs are together, toes pointed, out in front of you
  • Get them to a 45 degree angle

With all of these, line outs are important - make the shape, straighten out.

  • Make sure their hands are in the correct positions, and that they are looking forward
  • Make sure the move is happening at the top of the bounce (see diagram for example)
