DESCRIPTION

  • Organise children into pairs and ask them to stand in a line between two cones set out at one end of he area you are working in.
  • Explain to the children that uou would liike them to find as many different ways of running to the opposite set of cones and back as they can (e.g. arms in different positions, small steps, long leaps).
  • Allow the children two or three minutes to experiment with this, taking it in turns with their partner to run.

Emphasise to the children that it is important that they do not bump into each other as somenone may get hurt.

Pick three or four children to demonstrate the ways of running that they were using.
