What warm up activities are best suited towards throwing events in athletics but still keep the pupils engaged?

static stretches should be done at the end of a session not at the beginning. Try dynamic arm movements for the shoulders, elbows and wrists.

Swimming arms - arm movements for breast stroke, front crawl. to keep children engaged they could walk and do swimming arm actions.

Boxers arm movements whilst shuffling on balls of feet, upper cuts, right hand lead, left hand lead, roundhouse punch to side.

skipping is ideal for the arms and all over body warm up.
