Effective Counter Attacking - Options after a Turnover
Being able to counter-attack effectively after winning the ball is a great way for your team to score points as the opposition will be out of position.
To ensure your side are switched on to this attacking opportunity this session gets your players to practice moving forward at pace, keeping support in numbers and playing heads up rugby to exploit your exposed opposition.
What's in the Session?
We start things off with a finding width quick passing exercise, designed to get your players exploding from the turnover to spread the ball and exploit the space.
Now that everyone's on board and thinking "counter-attack" we examine techniques your players can use to attack the space - including shifting channels, using the loop and the switch before finishing with a cool-down exercise you'll be able to use time and again called Snake Passing.
