Backline Stack

WD and GD will start in a stacked position, one behind the other with the WD in front  The C will start just inside the centre third to allow the WD and GD space Both players will split and go in opposite directions to make an offer for the ball  The WD is likely to receive the ball  The GD will then change direction and drive down court to offer for the next ball from the WD The C will receive the ball from the GD - they must ensure they time their movement correctly

Circle Edge Set-Up

WD will set up ball side on the circle edge  GD will set up away from the WD to give them space and to balance the court - they should try to be ball side also  C will start back just inside the centre third, this will allow the WD and GD space  The GK will pass the ball to the WD (holding ball side)  The GD will then drive to receive the second ball from the WD  C will then make a move to receive the ball from the GD

Off the Post

The WA will set up ball side on the side of the circle  The C will set up ball side on the top of the circle  The GA will set up ball side in the circle - this will keep the GD out of play  The GS will fake the ball to the WA, this will transfer the GK's body weight that way and leave room for the GS The GS will then pass the ball against the post and jump back onto court to receive the ball  The GS will put up the shot

Backline Pass Progression

5+ players, 1 ball, half court space. 1. One player sets up near baseline as the feeder with the ball. 2. All other players (workers) set up near third line behinf eachother. 3. Workers drive forward and receive a pass from the feeder, they pass back, peel to the right and join the back of the line.  Progression 1: Players alternate the side they peel out to.  Progression 2: Working players peel out as they were but then cut back into the midline to receive another pass. Worker passes back to the feeder. Progression 3: Two workers drive out together. One will get a pass from the feeder. They will then peel out and drive towards the midline to recieve a long pass. Progression 4: As with progression 3 but with one defender in the mix.  Progression 5: Backline pass. One worker to fake a drive. Another to pop out to recive a pass from feeder at backline. Another worker to drive foward and recieve pass to the finish with the first fake driver recieving a pass over the halfway line.

C passes back to GD – delivers a straight pass to WA – GS comes out of circle to receive pass in goal third – GS passes to C at top of circle – C passes into GA to put up shot.

The WA will set up ball side on the side of the circle  The C will set up ball side on the top of the circle  The GA will set up ball side in the circle - this will keep the GD out of play  The GS will pass the ball to the WA The GA will then move onto the ball as the WA passes into the circle  The GA can put up the shot

GK Backline Set Play

GK backline throw in GK backline passes to – WD on circle edge pocket – GK drives up for a square pass from WD – GD receives pass from GK in centre third – C receives a straight pass – GA straight pass – WA straight pass into the goal third – GS straight pass top of circle – WA circle edge pocket – pass into GA to put up shot.

The WA will hold ball side on the edge of the circle  The C will hold ball side on the top of the circle  The GA will hold ball side in the circle - this will keep the GD away from the ball/the GS The GS may fake the ball to the GA or C to move the GK's body weight  They will then pass to the WA and quickly get onto court, ball side and receive the ball back from the WA The GS will put up the shot

The WA will set up ball side on the side of the circle  The C will set up ball side on the top of the circle  The GA will set up ball side in the circle - this will keep the GD out of play  The GS will fake the pass to the WA - this will move the GK's body weight that direction  The GS will then pop the ball to the GA The GA can put up the shot

Small Group Decoy

*AUDIO DESCRIPTION ON* 1 Player starts at about half way facing the shooting circle, with the ball(could be a centre pass situation). Player with the ball passes to one of the two players who are set up on the 3rd line (as if a centre pass).   Player who does not receive the ball, drives as if going for the straight pass as a decoy, player with the ball can fake the straight pass but actually pass to the original feeder who is now square.  The decoy player then cuts back and receives a ball on the circle edge.

Through court movement

Set up: 7+ players, one ball, full court. Players set up in loosely positioned areas.  Ball starts down one end i.e. with the shooter and players work the ball through the full court.

WD, GD Split

WD and GD will set up to present an offer, however they will not be receiving the ball The WD will start ball side and pull wide, taking the GS and WA with them to leave space in the middle  The GD will pull wide the other way and take the GA away to leave space in the middle  The C will time their movement and drive hard down the middle to receive the ball from the GK By this time the WD and GD will have driven down court to offer for the next pass The WD will receive the ball from the C The GD will receive the ball from the WD
