When the player can cradle, run, and pass they will then be looking for their team mate to catch the ball. If players can perform the skills of throwing and catching efficiently then they will be able to move the ball around quicker which makes it difficult for the defence.
Make sure pupils catch with a vertical stick as shown in the videos. Don't let them catch it with a horizontal stick like a frying pan. Pupils should also cradle after they have caught the ball.
It is hoped that the ball would be kept off the ground more and there are more linking passes and catches.
