DESCRIPTION

The inside player passes the ball to their partner on the outside.
The inside player then moves clockwise to receive the ball back via a wall pass from the outside player.
The inside player then runs clockwise to pass the ball to the next player on the outside

Practice continues.

COACHING POINTS

This practice requires good concentration from all players - you may wish to walk through it at 50% pace to begin with to ensure players understand the movement patterns (one-two pass, switch positions, repeat).

OFTEN USED WITH...

Give and Go Circle - Part 2:

The inside player passes the ball to their partner on the outside.
The inside player then moves anticlockwise to receive the ball back via a wall pass from the outside player.
After the inside player receives the ball back they give it once more to the outside player
This time the outside player runs into the inside position and the inside player runs to the outside position. (players reverse roles).

Practice continues.

Passing & Receiving

2 player passing pattern:

A. Player 1 passes the ball to player 2.

B. Player 1 then follows his/her own pass.

C. Player 2 passes the ball back to player 1 for a wall pass back in the space

D. Player 2 runs onto the ball and has a shot at goal.

Pass and Follow:

Players pass and follow the ball each time to the next cone.
It is important to follow the following progressions: 1 - run and follow 2 - run/pass and follow 3 - pass and follow.

Passing & Receiving

Adding to the pass:

Player 1 passes the ball to player 2, who lets the ball run across the body and runs with the ball to the next cone. He or she dummies to hit the pass wide but hits it under the arm into the path of player 3 running infield. Player 3 receives the ball on the move and shoots at goal.
