DESCRIPTION

Starting situation.

A straddle sitting on the shoulders of B.

B in a standing base, holding the ankles of A, with A in a straddle sit position on their shoulders.

Grip. Initially forward overgrasp grip behind the ankles of A. Change to place the palms of the hands to press down on the front of the tense lower legs of A.

Works when Gymnast B, holding A on their shoulders, changes from a standing upright base into a lunge base. Changes the grip from behind ankles to in front of the tense lower legs of A. Gymnast A lowers their body backwards into a Horizontal counterbalance. The shoulders of gymnast B being used as the fulcrum for the counterbalance.
