DESCRIPTION

Presenting the same physical actions that utilise the same time, spatial and physical configuration, but performed as if A is looking into a mirror at B. B therefore has to perform all the actions the "opposite" way round. Mirroring produces a very particular spatial orientation between the partners. Creating floor pathways: Towards and\or Away from; Side to Side.

Matching Action:

Corresponding actions executed together in time and space,

eg. static balance configurations or moving together presenting the same actions and gestures.

Key 5 1 Relationship Ideas

Copying Action:

The same actions done in time, spatial and physical configuration, but one gymnast may lead the action and the partner copies.

Lead and Follow Ideas

This may become... one go and one catch up. Either - Presenting physical phrases of action, then allowing a partner to follow, utilising the same spatial pathway, but not necessarily doing the same phrase of action.

Or - Presenting physical phrases of action, then allowing a partner to catch up by utilising the same physical actions and the same spacial pathway.

Key 5 1 Relationship Ideas

Mobile over (both):

creates a low mobile action, (eg. a long shape twisting roll) whilst B catches up and "wheels" over A.

Canon Time:

Presenting the same physical actions that utilise the same time, spacial and physical configuration, but with a time lapse between start times. eg B starts four beats after A.
