2v1 to 3v2

2 players will attack 1 defender. After a shot has been taken all 3 players become offence and 2 defenders will run in to play a 3v2 at the other end. Once a shot has been taken at that end. The 2 defenders become offence and 1 defender will run in at the other end. This is a continuous drill, where each end the same thing will happen each time.

3 Man Weave 2 v 1

3 Man weave down the court. When players reach the halfway line, player with the ball places ball on the ground and becomes the defender. The other two players pick up the ball and play out a 2v1.

2 on 1 Passing Drill

Blue 1 and Blue 3 must try to exchange passes. White 1, the defender must try to intercept or deflect the pass.

2 v 1 Screening

Setup as shown. Split the group into two with a further person starting on the cone as shown. Player 1 passes the ball to player 2 before giving a handoff pass back to player 1. Player 2 then turns to make a screen, with player 3 making a run, then making a cut before receiving a pass from player 1 and shooting.

Competitive Rebounding

This drill requires 3 players around the basket with one feeder/coach. The ball is thrown up at the basket, the players will battle for the rebound.

Dodge Defender and Find Space

Have a player or the coach on one side of the court with a ball, looking to pass to the attacker. The attacker should start on the other side of the court and will try to get past the defender and get closer to the ball so he can receive the pass.

Down Screen and Flare Cut

The down screen will happen away from the ball. The player receiving the screen will step over the screen and then take 2 long backward steps away from the screen towards the corner of the court. The screener will turn and cut back towards the ball. This cut will happen if the defender tries to get around the screen and stop the cut towards the ball.

Getting Free - Restricted Area

Setup as shown. The defender is only allowed to move up and down the line as shown. The attacker can move anyway within the box to try and catch the ball.

Screen and Back Cut

The down screen will happen away from the ball. The player receiving the screen will fake away from the basket and then back cut to the hoop where they will catch the ball and shoot a lay up. The player setting the screen will pop back towards the ball.
