
Two simultaneous 1 V 1 games. Have teams shoot on opposite nets Players on faceoff dots carry and pass to partner and change lines. Players on the wall make long passes. Keep heads up and avoid hitting the skate of players going through the middle. Players skating should also work to avoid the pucks. P1 (blue) leaves the line and pumps with Inside Edges around the net, or crossovers, and grabs a puck from their own corner. P1 from opposite line (red) mirrors the drill and attacks the opposite net. Both players must keep eyes up to avoid collision.
1 V 1, battle, puck protection, defender stay in between net and puck carrier. Off player try to score. Passing, eyes up, top hand in front, sweep puck, no slapping, point toes. Skating, crossover or edges, look over shoulder before grabbing puck, eyes up, find open ice.
