DESCRIPTION

Pass follow P1-P2-P3. Make sure players take a stride before passing with their eyes up and showing good stick targets. P4 Starts on knees or stomach and jumps up when P3 receives the pass from P2. P3 attacks the net and P4 takes a good angle to defend or keep P3 wide. have players race head to head or team relay race if equal skill. P1 skates towards the stick and two foot hops over the stick and stops at the far stick. Skates back to the close stick stops again. Skates and jumps the far stick then superman slides under the bumper cave and returns to line. Make sure player is stopping facing same direction to work both sides. Nets are back to back. Players can score any net should be encouraged to carry puck or pass behind net to keep pressure on goalies.

COACHING POINTS

Pass follow, eyes up, good angle as defender, competition, shooting. competition, overspeed, stopping, superman-balance. Fun, creativity, passing, deception, using behind the net. Goalies head on a swivel, tracking puck from behind net, anticipate and read the play.
