Coach tells which two lines are going. Players have to listen to coach. Can turn left, turn right, or stop (L/R) Progress to adding a pass at the end for older players. Both players opposite sides carry a puck and turn right then left then pass to the player on the opposite side. Coach makes sure they leave at the same time. In the middle both players must keep heads up to ensure they avoid crashing. P1 (red) leaves to the far tire turning right. P1 tries to touch the middle tire with their stick. P2 (blue) also turns right around the middle tire and must take a good angle to protect it. He must touch his stick to P1 before they make contact with the tire. Sticks must both stay on the ice!! Have blue become attackers and also switch tires so they can go both ways. Players skate around the circle the same direction. Coach can pass to anyone so they must always be ready. If they catch the pass and return it to coach players get a point. If anyone misses a pass coach gets a point. Pass follow. P1 carries the puck and turns left and passes to P2. P2 carries and turns left and returns to line. Switch directions. A puck sits near one tire on each side. The first player opposite the puck leaves without a puck and weaves through the tires and gets the puck. P1 weaves back and passes to the next player. P2 from the opposite sides leaves without a puck when P1 is halfway back and continues the drill. When a player receives the pass in line they should leave it near the tire for the nex player to pick up.
