Station 1: Controlled breakout. Coach dumps puck to either corner. Dump side "D" gets puck and starts breakout. Whichever side "D" chooses, that side F curls towards boards- Center curls towards whichever side D chooses. Puck carrying "D" has option to make pass to "RW/LW" or "C" Off wing cuts towards offside faceoff dot. Slow it down, correct wrong position/path. Station 2: 2 lines of kids-both can start at same time. around each cone, tight turn around last cone break away speed down the middle back into line. run it with out pucks first couple times. we can then add pucks. as the player breaks down middle, they make a pass to next player in line. Empasize puck control and heads up, more than speed. Station 3: 2 on "0" dump in: coach dumps puck into zone-whichever side the puck goes, that forward skates into corner, picks up puck. Curls up boards around circle-sending pass to off wing player for a shot on goal. Player who is off wing-skates a path around circle -getting into shooting position. Forward who makes pass needs to go directly to net for rebound. Timing, route and puck control are key.
