Community | 02 Tristate 1-1-2 PK Opponents Defensive Zone

DESCRIPTION

Used when killing a penalty and wanting to pressure the other team while they attempt to break out of their zone.

COACHING POINTS

The concept of a 1-1-2 PK Offensive Zone strategy requires that the two forwards are in constant motion forcing the opposing team puck carrier to make poor decisions and possibly turning over the puck. Our defensement are cutting the ice in half and also applying puck side pressure. Turnovers can result in scoring opportunities or dump ins which will frustrate the opponent.
