
Attacking players are trying to get the puck to the other end of the ice (either blue or goal line) the attacking player must deke around the defending player at full speed. The defending player is seeking to check the attacking player to protect their end. Once the play is over the defending player will switch to become the attacking player and will do the drill to the opposite end.
Attacking players need to hang on to the puck â no dump inâs. One quick move at full speed shielding the puck with their body or space Defending players need to have an active stick and begin by skating backwards Keep proper position off shoulder and proper space gap with attackers.
