No Mans Land: Ground Strike & Stopping Moving Ball

DESCRIPTION

3 x 4 minute games Set up as in diagram - Teams may only stay in their area and are not allowed cross no mans land (area between 2 areas) -Player must hit any ball back into opponents area. -Team with the least amount of balls in their area after allocated time is the winner. PROGRESSION: -Players must double on ball first time. -Make 4 squares with 1/4 in each and teams can hit to any one of them

COACHING POINTS

Ground Strike and stopping a moving ball are the core skills. Ensure child holds hurley on top of grip with dominant hand always.
