Set up a gauntlet using cones, divide kids evenly on both sides of the gauntlet. Give each kid (A) a beanbag and tell them they are not allowed past the cones to enter the gaunlet. On the whistle the coach (F) must roll the tyre (black arrow) through the gauntlet. Kids must try and throw their beanbag underhand with their writing hand through the tyre as it passes. When the tyre reaches the other coach tell the kids to quickly gather a beanbag and go back outside the cones. Coaches should get parents to roll the tyres and they should move from child to child helping them with their technique. Progress the activity so that the kids now have to throw underhand with their other hand (Camoige catching hand). Final progression is for the kids to grab a football instead of a beanbag. Then they have to see if they can knock the tyre over as it rolls past by handpassing the ball at it.
Get them to step forward with the foot on the opposite side of their body from the throwing hand. For the handpass check if they are in the boxers stance with one foot in front of the other. The hand under the ball should be on the same side as the foot out in front. To help with accuracy tell them to use the open hand.
