8 players,2 teams, 4 players at each end, set up in 1v1 pairs. First pair in play start with hand on black pole. Coach starts game by striking ball to blue or red side. Players move off pole, 1V1 to collect ball and strike towards team mate at green pole (other side), then return back to their own pole (black). Players at green pole move off once ball is played towards them and compete 1V1 to win ball and send back to team mate on other side (black pole) and repeat..... Ball never goes wide
Once a player gets a ball in the hand he is looking up for his partner on the opposite side. Partner needs to time his run to make sure he doesn't move too soon and wastes the opportunity to find space. Player striking the ball needs to find the space his team mate will run into rathe than hitting him at the pole. Player at the pole needs to think about the direction of his run, i.e. to the side rather than straight at the player striking the ball, A clean pick up/first touch is essential for the receiver otherwise his marker will close him down before he strikes back to his partner on the opposite side.
