Set up the kids in pairs and give them a ball between them. Get one kid to turn around and put their hands on their knees. Then challenge the other kid to handpass the ball at their bum. If they hit the target get the handpasser to take a step back. Then give the other kid a go at handpassing at the bum and keep rotating goes. See what pair end up furthest apart. Progress the activity by bringing the kids back in close together and get them to repeat the activity using their other hand.
Check if they are in the boxers stance with one foot in front of the other. The hand under the ball should be on the same side as the foot out in front. To help with accuracy tell them to use the open hand.
