Set the cones in a square, 10M apart. This creates a play area of 100m2. Split players into groups of 1v1 at each cone. Have several competing pairs at each cone. In this instance, blue starts with possession. He must get a clean pass to blue at the next cone. Red must stop him from makng a pass and red on the next cone must stop his marker from receiving a pass. If red intercepts, he/she must get the ball off to the next red and last two players stay at the cone they were passing to. Players may use the entire inner square.
Emphasise direction changes, side-stepping oppostion and breaking tackle. Pass must be clean handpass or short hurl/foot pass. Keep the head up, look for your team mate to get free or pass into a run. Dont make silly pass just to offload the ball, smart pass only when team mate is in position to receive.
