Defending a lob into the goal circle
if you dont wish to wait for people to answer this question, look in the archive as this questions has been asked a few times.
but basically its a tough pass to intercept as the GS will be blocking/zoning the GK from behind and in general (but not always) out to the edge of the circle leaving empty space between the GS and the goal ring. the GK will need to read the the play early and set themselves up so they can roll off the GS to come in to the side or even behind to at least tip or intercept the pass, or even just take the GS of the line she needs to be in order to take the pass. if this occurs the ball will go out of play behind the goal line and the GK will take the throw in. if your GK is tall it will be easier, but if they are short, then its a pretty tough task. best idea is not to let the GS set up for a lob by defending them from behind to make them shoot from the edge of the circle.
