Can someone give me some basic base line throw in set ups?
Depending on what age group you have but I like to utilise my GD as the first lead, try and make her stand at the top of the goal circle, the WD to stand on the transverse line roughly behind the GD and the Centre to stand in the centre third. GD to make an attampt to get the pass as she can move anywhere in the goal circle,(even if the GD has two players on her she must make a lead) if she can't get the ball then your WD drives to the opposite side creating space if she gets caught then you have your Centre driving hard. It is a split formation, the back lead must go the opposite side and must use her eyes.
in more ways than one

Most netball shooters know how to shoot. The difference at the top is who can shoot when it counts. A structured 10-minute pre-game mental routine is the most under-used performance tool in club netball - and it is the simplest to teach.
The best Goal Defences in the 2026 NSL season are intercepting more than ever. The reason is not raw athleticism. It is a deliberate shift from chasing the attacker to driving into the flight path of the ball. Here is how to coach it.
