Defending drill 2: There will be 3 players are in the center third and they have to try and stop the rest of the players by defending and blocking the space so the players canât get past. The defenders can't physically touch or hurt the players getting past because that contact and that's not allowed within a game of netball. The aim of the game is to try and block your play from trying to get free and into a space. This is useful for any position because this means this could lead to a held ball and means your team could have possession. This also teaches the players to stick to there players. You can be close but if they have the ball you have to stay 3 feet away.
Make sure they aren't contacting the rest of the players.
