penalty killers have zones to cover, the forwards do not need to drop down below the bottom hash mark unless all players have dropped down. defensemen do not need to cross the top hash mark unless they have switched coverage areas with the forward.
Killers need to keep sticks active in the passing lanes, when moving from point A - B it is not in a straight line, it is in 90 degrees movements. back to your starting spot than out to the attach lane. give the power play team the outside lanes, do not allow them to crash your inner box
