DESCRIPTION

*AUDIO DESCRIPTION ON*

Shot from Server 1 then from Server 2.
If the shot is parried then Server 2 can finish the 'live' ball.
If not Server 2 plays the shot at goal from the cache of balls

COACHING POINTS

The goalkeeper should parry into safe zones if required.
Goalkeeeper should get into line for the 2nd shot but careful to watch they do not dive to early!

PROGRESSION

Start with Server 2 always playing a shot to the near post as the drill progresses
Server 2 can shoot anywhere on target.

Goalkeeper comes in steps round the front of the cone on the near post and gets into set position for a shot from Server 1 from the angle.
Followed by a shot from Server 2 from the angle.

Goalkeeper comes in steps round the front of the cone on the far post and gets into set position for a shot from Server 1 from the angle.
Followed by a shot from Server 2 from the angle.

Shot Stopping From the Angle Out of Position:

Goalkeeper receives a back-pass from Server 1 in the middle of the goal. GK then takes a touch into opposite half of field and returns the ball
Then moves into line to receive a shot from Server 2 from the angle.

Shot Stopping from a Turn and Shot from the Angle:

*AUDIO DESCRIPTION ON*

Ball played into feet of the attacker with a passive defender or mannequin behind them.
The Server takes one touch to roll the defender and get a shot away with the second touch.

NOTES:

Make sure the attacker does not take too many touches
The attackers first touch should be wide but not too wide to make the angle so acute that it is difficult to get on target. If this is happening cone an area off in the 18yd box where the shot must be taken inside.
