Before players set off on their run the coach calls out a type of pass - depending on the call players must play that type of pass.
Types of pass:
The players run to the cone and then pass the ball square before running on to the next cone and pass square. When the players reach the end they have to run back through the middle of the cones.

In pairs, stand facing each other, 3m apart. Pass the ball at waist height. How many passes can you make in 15 seconds?

Split the group into teams of three. On the coaches command the players start running up the channel passing between them, once they reach the end they turn around and come back repeating the passing.
