Run forward at full speed to receive the pass. As you approach the defender drop the shoulder in the direction which you are pretending to pass (drop left shoulder if faking to the left). Hold the ball there for a short second to 'sell' the fake. Once the defender is committed to stopping the pass push off your outside foot and drive in the opposite direction.

Blue players pass the ball around the grid. At the same time the red players moves to prevent the pass to the green player in the middle of the square. The aim of the game for the outside players is to wrong-foot the defending player and create an opening in which they can play the pass to the green player.

Blue players pass the ball around the triangle. Players should run forward (to the cone) to meet the pass and before passing the ball again should try and use a change of direction/feint to beat the defender in the middle who is trying to intercept the next pass. Tell your players to be creative.

B1 and B2 run forward to R1. Ball starts with player 1 who feeds the ball into player 3. The attacking players must then pass the ball around the triangle. The defender's job is to try and cut out the first pass and then apply pressure on the attackers to force the error or make the interception.

Attackers pass the ball along the line and defenders must run forward to defend. Attacking players are trying to move the ball quickly in order to create an opening for a shot. They can do this through use of fast passes, feints and dummies.

Players pass the ball in an anti-clockwise direction around the grid. Players should aim their passes at the cone and the receiving players should step forward to meet the pass and then in turn continue the drill by passing to the next player.
