Gymnastics Drill Demonstration

Description

  • Short four meter run to jump off two feet.
  • Form pike shape during flight
  • Bring right arm under left arm to aid rotation and half-twist.
  • Flex knees and hips on landing.

    Coaching points

  • Raise extended legs to horizontal.
  • Keep eyes looking forward.
  • For half-turn put right arm under left arm and turn head to left.
  • Wide stance on landing to stop rotation.
