Gymnastics Drill Demonstration

Coaching points

  • maintain upright deportmen
  • at take-off swing arms forward and up; squeeze elbows to ears
  • legs & ankles extend to create Long Shape at top of flight - eyes focus on end of apparatus when landing 'on'
  • prepare to 'meet the bench/floor/box-top'  
  • flex hips and knees, lower C of G to cushion landing
