Place a number of 'islands' on the practice area using hoops, cones etc. Divide players into teams.
The first player in each team attempts to chip the ball from the tee onto the island. If successful the whole team move to that island and the next player in the team then attempts to chip the ball onto the next island.
If a player misses then the next player tries until one member of the team has been successful.

This tip demonstrates how each club should have a different flight angle. Place a p-wedge, 7 iron and a 3 iron on the grond with the club face facing the sky. Gently stand on the club face. There should be a noticable difference between the p-wedge and 3 iron.
To encourage the pupil to gain the correct feel for the first move away of the club into the backswing. Encourage the pupil to place a golf tee or second ball opposite the foot furthest from the target, just inside of the ball to target line (1). The player should be able to brush this object away by keeping the club head generally close to the ground in the first stages of the backswing (2).
Ask players to stand side on to an intended target with arms outstretched. The hand that is nearest to the target is placed at the top of the club (i.e. nearest to the end of the black grip). The hand furthest away from the target is placed underneath the hand at the top, still remaining on the black grip part of the club, with the hands close together. Alternatively, the throwing palm should face the target and be nearest the clubhead.
THE CLUBS Activators should highlight the differences between the blue chipping clubs and the red putters. Putters are for use on greens or shorter grass areas to roll the ball and chipping clubs are designed to make the ball fly in the air towards the intended target.
SWINGING THE CLUBS To enhance safety and assist play, clubs should need to be swung above waist height on the back swing or follow-through. To understand how far to swing the club in order to hit the ball the required distance encourage players to firstly play games by rolling (putting games) or throwing (chipping games) the ball (see Treasure Island.) Always encourage players to have a practice (rehearsal) swing in order to ?brush? the ground with the club before introducing the ball.
