When players get tired their game becomes sloppy, passes go astray and mistakes get made. That's why this week we've got a mid-season football-fitness session for you to use with your team.
To help your side perform better when tired all the drills in this session have a footballing element built into them, working on dribbling, passing and shooting within a fitness framework. Not only will this session get your players working hard on their fitness levels, it will also allow you to see how you players perform when tired in the shooting exercise and final game.
What's in the Session?
Simple to set up and great for use with squads of all sizes, this session starts with two grid warm up exercises (which you could also use for your pre-match routines), before starting the hard work with our set of three football circuit training exercises! Don't worry though, if everyone works hard you can reward your players with a target practice shooting drill followed by a final game - but only if they work hard!
Fitter teams are better teams - Get your team in shape so that they can work hard for the full 90 minutes!
