Athletics Drill Demonstration

Description

The swings should be attempted with the plane of orbit of the hammer as flat as possible and as bigger radius as possible. This is done by straightening the arms as the hammer swings in front of the athlete.

Coaching points

The position of the low point of the orbit should be off the right foot. The hips move in opposition to the hammer head to maintain balance.
