Piggy In the Middle | Offence

Piggy In the Middle:

  1. (4 offence, 1 defence, complete 10 passes, small pitch)
  2. Mark out a 8m x 8m square with cones
  3. 4 players form a team aiming to complete 10 passes
  4. 1 defender attempts to stop them
  5. If the team on offence complete 10 passes, add another defender and repeat

Offence
Volley Disc | Throwing Skills

Volley Disc:

  • Create a playing area which has two large areas for each team and a central out-of-bounds area; each team stays in their side.
  • Teams are allowed up to 3 passes between themselves, then must throw the disc into the other area.
  • If the disc is not caught and lands inside the receiving team’s area, award 1pt to the throwing team.

Hide & Throw | Throwing Skills

Hide & Throw:

  • Form groups of three
  • One player stands in front of the thrower as the "screen"; the thrower then pivots out to the side so they can see the receiver
  • Screens should stand still with arms by their sides
  • Throw the disc.
  • The thrower then runs to the person who caught the disc, stands in front of them to be the "screen".
  • Repeat this process until everyone is comfortable with the reason for pivoting

Throw & Go | Throwing Skills

Throw & Go:

  • Split the group into teams of 8 or more (i.e. 4 players on each side)
  • When a player has run to the back of the queue, get them to sit down.
  • Once everyone has been through once as a warm up, repeat again as a race. The first team all sat down is the winner!
  • Award points for the fastest team (1pt for the slowest team, 2pts for the next slowest, etc). Repeat the race until one team scores
