DESCRIPTION

  1. Run into space and have a partner throw the disc around head height and slightly to one side of your body
  2. Practice catching using the closest hand to the disc
  3. Form a “mouth” between fingers and thumbs of the catching hand, with the fingers up and the thumb pointing down
  4. Jump, and catch the disc at chest height
  5. Keep running all the way through the catch; only slow down once you have hold of the disc
  6. Note: it’s good practice to always try to catch with two hands whenever possible; this drill is to help teach the skill of catching with a single hand when the disc is off target
