DESCRIPTION

  • No discs are required
  • Players jog around in random directions, aiming to avoid each other
  • When the teacher shouts "FREEZE", all players stop immediately
  • The teacher can then shout out instructions from previous drills, such as "Kneeling Clap Catch" or "Backhand Pivot"; players mimic these movements to reinforce the previous lessons

Throw in a Square

  • Get into groups of 4, forming a small square approximately 3m per side with 1 disc for each group
  • Make sure that for each pass, the thrower & receiver are facing each other before the throwing motion begins.
  • Players should not move their feet after catching except to pivot

Frisbee Tag | Throwing Skills

Frisbee Tag

  • Select around 10% of the players to be "taggers". The rest evade them.
  • The evaders are given 3 frisbees to carry between them
  • When players are tagged, they must stand still with their arms out to their sides
  • Players can be freed by catching a disc (if they don't have one), or by completing a pass (if they do have a disc)
