Aussie Rules, AFL: 3 v 1 break down the ice

Split the players into 2 groups of max 4 players (otherwise players have to wait to long) And a goalie in each goal. One of the teams starts by skating down the ice with the puck and tries to score in to the net. At the moment the shot is made. a Player from the other side skates down the ice to try and score in the net on the other side. The player that took the first shot has to try and react quickly and skate back to try and defend against the player trying to score. When the player loses the puck or gets off a shot the practice reverses again a new player from the original team starts to skate down the ice and the last player that shot has to try and get back to defend.

2 feeders with 5 pucks each 1 working player (red) The working player starts by skating around one of the cones to then receives the puck from the feeder on the opposite side of the ice and try to score with one touch or control and shoot. When all the pucks are gone swap the player working.

Blue player 1 skates with the puck and shoots on goal. After the shot they then skate and touch the goal post.

Once the blue player has touched the post the second player can set off, skating with the puck towards the goal, with the blue player behind them putting them under pressure.

- For defensemen to work on their shots, passing, and pivoting.

- Each player will get three shots. To start, the defensemen receives a puck from the corner and gains the center of the ice as quickly as possible and shoots from the top of the slot.

- The player continues around the cones always facing the net. This forces them to pivot and receive the next pass going backwards. When they receive the next pass the player repeats as in the first rep.

- Once the player receives the third pass, they quickly give a pass to their partner who gives a pass back for a one time shot near the top of the slot. The key is to encourage the players to keep the feet and puck moving.
