Hockey: Pull back

Excellent, used the drills at our first training session today with...
Shane, Hockey Coach

DESCRIPTION

Set up four cones in a 5 by 5 metre square.

You can have 1 to 4 players working in any one square, each player needs a ball.

COACHING POINTS

Beginners should try and stop with their left foot forward then to push back from this foot and change direction

Some players naturally stop with their right foot and then push off with their left (this should not be discouraged).

PROGRESSION

Beginners should try and stop with their left foot forward then to push back from this foot and change direction

Some players naturally stop with their right foot and then push off with their left (this should not be discouraged).
