Set up two grids wide on the half way line.
Tell the players to play 3v3 possession in the box.
Have two player waiting in the 23m area.
When the ball is played outside the 2 areas on the halfway line it is the team that did not push the ball out to break. The team mate on in the 23m area has to come to the ball to receive the first pass. (other player can try to defend.
The player that touched the ball out of the grid is the defender that can try to stop the breaking team scoring.
The other 2 players wait in the grid.
If in the meantime the ball roles out of the other grid the team to break should recognise the other side breaking and decide to bring the ball back into the grid to continue to keep possession
3 blue and 1 white player start from between the gates (2 cones). Set in the specific areas on the pitsh.
Blue 1 starts with the ball and passes the ball to blue player 2 coming out of the gate. The defender (white) can now try to stop the players scoring.
Player 2 passes the ball back to player 3 and the 3 blues continue to the goal and try to score.
Coach feeds the ball to MM who plays the ball to RD or LD. These in turn play the ball in to the forwards on their side and play 3v2, (defenders have to play man to man marking for the first pass).
Progression - introduce sweeper into the defence and let the MM join in the game after his pass, making it 4v3.
create forward passes by transferring the ball
The 3 blue players are trying to pass the ball through one of the 3 goals in the middle of the area to one of the three players on the opposite side.
They can do this by running with the ball, dummy passing or transferring the ball between them to draw to two defenders out of position and create space for the pass.
The 2 defenders can only intercept the ball. When they do so they have to try and and pass the ball over the back line behind the 3 blue players who just lost the ball.
Four teams of 3 or 4 players. Put one goal 15m over the half way line so the half way line is the top of the circle.
The four team teams, one playing and one on the 23m line, are working in two partnerships - whites vs blues.
Team 1 starts with the ball and tries to score against team 2. When team 2 gain possession, either after a goal or tackle, they have to pass the ball to team 3 who now can try and score in the other goal.
Team 1 has to run back and defend. When team 1 win the ball they have to pass the ball to team 4 who attack against team 3 etc.
After a team has passed the ball to their partner team they take their place at the 23m line and wait for their chance to attack.
Players start from the left or the right with a ball. One defender in the Circle and one support attacker on the back line. Players with the ball start out side the circle and have to try and score. Depending on how what the defender does the attacker with the ball can choose to use the 2nd attacker or go on their own to score.
3 Players with a ball are trying to get one of the wide players across the goal line by passing the ball via the support player. The defending player ha to try and stop the player crossing the line.
4 players with 2 balls. One player in the middle is tightly marked. One of the players with the ball passes the ball at the marked player who then wall passes the ball back to this player for him/her to run with the ball to the other side. Then the 2nd player with the ball does the same once on the other side. Turn and repeat role reversal in the middle.
