Gymnastics Drill Demonstration

Description

  • Stand on low box or block and jump to inverted pike shape.
  • As centre of gravity passes over beat vigourously upwards with straight legs.
  • Push with arms.
  • Land in long lie shape on crash mats.

    Coaching points

  • A strong pike shape needs to be attained.
  • Body weight needs to be moving forwards as leg beat commences.
  • With strong arm push aim to achieve flight.
