Gymnastics Drill Demonstration

Description

  • Knee on a low block or box and place hands and head to form triangle.
  • Extend knees and raise legs to head stand.
  • Lower legs to pike shape and beat them vigourously up and push with arms
  • Keeping body straight gain flight to land with flat body in long lie shape on crash mats

    Coaching points

  • The pike shape must be attained. Legs need to be straight and head and hands in triangle shape.
  • Allow centre of gravity to pass over triangle base before leg beat.
  • Push with arms.
