Gymnastics Drill Demonstration

Description

  • Take out the benches one at a time.
  • Run in and out of the benches before stopping with one hand touching a bench and waving with the other. Repeat a number of different body parts touching the bench e.g. hands / feet.

    The next stage is to get the children to step over a bench and then slide back through it on their tummies.

    Coaching points

  • Encourage children to use their front / back / side of their body.
  • Focus on hands / feet staying in contact with the benches.
