Ask the children to curl up on the floor and slowly stand up, counting to 10 at the same time.

  • Put the apparatus away.

    • Ask the children to tip toe along with tiny steps from one side of the hall to the other - slowly !.

    Choose children to demonstrate their favourite stretching movement.

  • Put the apparatus away.

    • Ask the children to demonstrate all the different ways of sliding around the room. This should be done slowly.

    Ask the children to stretch up tall, then curl up small and then roll over sideways.

    Play follow my leader to conclude - touch head/toes, stretch up tall/curl up small.

  • Put the apparatus away.

    • Ask to show each other their favourite movement. Ask them if they can do bg stretched out steps to walk across the hall.
