Gymnastics Drill Demonstration

Description

  • Using the top box section only stand with hands pointing forward.
  • Place hands on the box a shoulder width apart
  • Jump keeping the legs straight with hips as high as posible over the hands, taking the body weight on extended arms.
  • Transfer weight across the box bringing the legs to one side of both arms.
  • Land with flexed knees and hips.

    Coaching points

  • Aim to keep the chest forward.
  • If the legs pass to the right of the hands the left arm must remain extended taking the body weight.
  • Head must look forward on landing.
